Our History

Al-Ahly for Development and Investment " ADI ", is the first venture capital company to be established in Egypt in 1995, under the auspices of Capital Market Law 1992, as a joint stock company with an authorized capital of LE 500 million and a paid in capital to-date of LE 200 million. ADI is client driven, structuring its products and services to meet the growing demands of its selected clients and in the process, contributing to the development of the Egyptian and regional Capital Markets. ADI counts among its core shareholders a group of leading private investment individuals along with Misr insurance company the leading insurance company in Egypt.

Our Scope

Complementing the core institutional shareholders are the leading Egyptian business and investor groups, whose involvement contributes to both ADI's knowledge of both the global and regional aspects of the business, and financial strength through participation in ADI's products and services. The Management structure is lean and fosters personal value added synergy, the senior team headed by Mr. Tawfik Diab as Chairman and Managing Director, and two Generel Managers for Investments &  for Finance and Admin. While primary contact with our clients is always at executive management level, creative thinking is an attribute we vigorously encourage throughout ADI, our managers never lose sight of the fact that they are part of a team. ADI's team draws on a formidable range of professional experiences of its members, amply supplemented by the collective resources specialist. Where a range of skills is required, specialized groups are formed into project teams, comprising consultants and lawyers, to offer a seemless service and a genuinely multidisciplinary approach.
